In Your Arms…

There is a land not known before
Where surging billows touch the shore
Not loud and mighty as you’d think
But soft and slightly on the brink

Of a new life you could not see
As long as you swam in the sea
Of trouble, trial, and distress
You thought that life was all a mess

But suddenly and unforeseen
There is the King who calls His Queen
To leave the troubled sea behind
And enter rest that’s God-designed

You take her hand and draw her near
Close to Your heart, she has no fear
To touch You since You are her Man
Who pleases her like God just can

You stilled the waters, calmed the storm
The air blows gentle, mild and warm
No need is here to hide a thing
Since all is bright, there is no sting

Of death, of anger, wrath or strife
Instead, here’s only love and life
Your eyes so tender, warm and pure
A gaze from You is like a cure

That makes forget all ever done
Your presence here shines like the sun
Embraced by You for hours long
Enjoying peace and love so strong

That waters never ever quench
Love’s liquid flames which like a drench
Drown senses and awake what’s new
In blissful hugs that come from You

Susanne, only one who knows Jesus intimately in a very personal way that goes beyond mere Bible reading and theological theory could write a poem like this with such depth and hidden meaning!!! Well done and thank you, my dear friend and sister, for sharing your innermost heart with us!!! ❤

Oh oh, Michael – your comment made me blush! 🙂

In fact, it is very difficult to skate around such deep experiences with God that the carnal mind cannot grasp. Intimacy with God that leads to ecstatic experiences is a spiritual thing, actually. It really makes sense to me that Jesus warned us by saying,

“Do not give dogs what is holy, and do not throw your pearls before pigs, lest they trample them underfoot and turn to attack you.” (Mt 7:6 ESV)

The carnal mind, particularly the legalistic and moralistic mind, will always judge those who enjoy that freedom with God in their own spirits. So, we must be careful with whom we share our secret inner life with Christ in God.

      Love you in Him,
      Susanne

Yes, THAT is for sure.. like when I am attacked for insisting that JESUS IS the WORD of God, not the Bible! Those who love their KNOWLEDGE of the Bible more than Him really get offended! Yes, the whole of scripture either speaks about Him or points to Him, but according to the very book they praise, HE is the very Word of God who spoke ALL things into existence and it is time that so called “Bible churches” and worshipers gave HIM HIS proper place in their hearts!!! .

Yes, Jesus is THE WORD OF GOD (Rev 19:13). After His resurrection He said to those two disciples on their way to Emmaus,

““O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?” And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things
      concerning himself.” (Lk 24:13 ESV)

Only He can tell us what Scripture really means (Mt 13:10-17). The depths of God cannot be understood by a mind that has not yet been enlightened by the Holy Spirit. Mere
Bible knowledge only scratches the surface of what was REALLY meant. As you might
remember I recently wrote a blog post on that very issue. If someone wants to check it out, too, here’s the link Our Life Hidden with Christ in God.

Thank you for your inspiring comment, Michael! Much appreciated!! ❤

‘This has happened to me in a dream that my God gave just me ( a week or so ago) in the night as I was asleep! A CURE so perfect, that ALL symptoms have vanished as if nothing bad ever happened! This is the beginning of God’s restoration in me. What an encouraging thought this is, Yes it is a New Beginning.

      Dear Susie,

I am so glad to hear that God gave you truly a new beginning with this dream when He looked right into your eyes (I assume it was the dream on which I commented on your blog…? 😉 ) and thus assured you of His love for YOU. ❤

May God continue to bless you, my dear sister!

      Love you,
      Susanne xx

You have assumed correctly, Susanne. Love is something that I haven’t been able to grasp nor understand my whole life, for me it is a perplexing thing! The churches that I have been a part of for these last 40 years withheld love, even God’s Love, so then love became something that you earned based on merit. Very perplexing indeed!

Dear Susie, this is so wonderful to hear. Jesus will do whatever He has to do that we might know His healing love and to see and feel His personal touch. This is what all of us need so much. When that happens we are NEVER the same.

    Love you,
    Michael

Father God, is answering my prayers! I have throughout the years, have pleaded with Him to let me look Him in the face and into His eyes it was an earnest prayer from my heart. Now I have seen Him face to face, in a dream, that was so amazing that words cannot describe its effect upon me. But know this it was intense, electrifying and beyond amazing!

WoW!!!! I am so happy for you!!!! You know, Susie, we are transformed as we behold Him…

Beloved, now are we the children of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
    (1 John 3:2 KJ2000)

Thanks so much for sharing this with us!

Amen, Michael. Here’s the mystery, more or less hidden…

He: Behold, you are beautiful, my love; behold, you are beautiful; your eyes are doves.
She: Behold, you are beautiful, my beloved, truly delightful. Our couch is green; the beams of our house are cedar; our rafters are pine.

    (Song of Solomon 1:15-17 ESV)

    Love,

“Then the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision of the night. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven. Daniel answered and said: “Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, to whom belong wisdom and might. He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding; he reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him.” (Dan 2:19-22 ESV)

O thank you Susanne for linking me to another poem! Beautiful!!
This is it for me “Love’s liquid flames which like a drench
Drown senses and awake what’s new”
Liquid Love… yes, melty, warm, flowing, relaxes and stimulates at the same time!
Flames of Love that flood like a river into a fountain of new life in me, his river of water of life just fans the flames higher, unlike in the natural world…
Five senses drown and spiritual senses come alive! Exquisite!! heightened sensitivity to rapturous delight…lost in his all-encompassing Love!
Eternally new drenching by rivers of Love, Peace, Joy, Life and Light inexpressible, Joy unutterable, Peace beyond anything the world could ever give…an intimate Love of the Beloved that my soul had longed for my whole life and awakened with the first touch…
Finally my soul is totally satisfied, resting in my Beloved, my Beloved in me… words may fail, but his Love never fails!
    God bless you Susanne!!

Ha! Just thought I could offer you another thing here, Yvonne, an excerpt from Charles G. Finney’s experience of having been baptized with the Holy Spirit. Maybe you find your experience in His words, too.

Without any expectation of it, without ever having the thought in my mind that there was any such thing for me, without any recollection that I had ever heard the thing mentioned by any person in the world, the Holy Spirit descended upon me in as manner that seemed to go through me, body and soul. I could feel the impression, like a wave of electricity, going through and through me. Indeed it seemed to come in waves and waves of liquid love; for I could not express it in any other way. It seemed like the very breath of God. I can recollect distinctly that it seemed to fan me, like immense wings.

No words can express the wonderful love that was shed abroad in my heart. I wept aloud with joy and love; and I do not know but I should say, I literally bellowed out unutterable gushings of my heart. These waves came over me, and over me, and over me, one after the other, until I recollect I cried out, “I shall die if these wavers continue to pass over me.” I said, “Lord, I cannot bear any more;” yet I had no fear of death.
How long I continued in this state, with this baptism continuing to roll over me and go through me, I do not know.

Yes, Yvonne and Susanne! This is a very good description of that I have been coming into as well. It is truly amazing to have so much peace and love both in and pouring over me these days. But God had to strip me of so much of the old me for so many years, even after I was filled with the Spirit. I love the description of Finney Susanne shared.. I really relate… electricity, waves, warm flow of His love through me and reaching out to others, many tears and so much joy, too, and this all in the last two years! There seems to be a baptism of the Spirit and a baptism of the love of God. For me they were almost 45 years apart! 🙂 God is sooooo Good!
        Love to you both!
