Where Beauty Lies…

The beauty that was never seen
Can’t be detected on a screen
Instead it’s hidden in the heart
As its most valuable part

This beauty has eternal worth
And does not wither, but gives birth
To evermore of perfect gifts
The more the veil that hid them shifts

God who is perfect and is love
Vests beauty in us from above
The only thing we need for that
Is that our eyes get light instead

Of all those dark and evil tricks
The devil plays on us to mix
True beauty with mere outward form
Which without Spirit is not warm

God’s Holy Breath alone gives life
Not human effort, nor does strife
Between men, women, kids, and babes
And chickens, cuckoos, ants and apes

Dear Susanne, this was such a lovely poem and so filled with truth. The beauty spoken of here is beyond even that of your balcony lilies! There is a hidden beauty in you that God can see and all those who have come to know your heart. You are such a blessing to us all.
God bless and keep you always. ❤

Oh, Michael, I am amazed that you found the poem lovely. Actually, I thought it was nothing special since I only needed a short time to string the verses and rhymes

I am glad to hear that you found some truth in it, too. Thank you very much for your
      encouraging words, my brother!

You are a blessing to me too.

Every divine blessing to you! ❤
