This world is circling around itself Self of man is captured within God's wisdom has been put on the shelf That gathers dust to cover sin Circumstances decide decisions Disaster seems to have gained control No knowledge of God, no real visions No real summer before the fall Where's hope, where's freedom, and where is LIFE? Who truly knows The Lord for real these days? Where is the one who has entered His Kingdom so that he can tell The difference between our plain old life and having overcome? If we don't have all the answers yet, my friend We can only wait until the day is dawning When His Light chases away all darkness inside And our own little world, then, circles around His LIFE A Life of Faith, where's doubt, where's fear? Mere trust and hope, His love so dear Our soul's at rest when He's in sight And this old world will soon take flight

Yes, Susanne, when His light shines withing we have hope in our hearts and this world grows strangely dim. “Even so, come Lord Jesus.”

Thank you so much, my beautiful soul sister! ❤
I need to admit that this poem refused to rhyme continuously. But I dared to publish it anyway. 🙂
Much love,
Susanne ❤

Susanne, I read your poem again and this passage from Isaiah sums it quite well.
“We have a strong city; he sets up salvation as walls and bulwarks. Open the gates, that the righteous nation that keeps faith may enter in. You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.”
Isaiah 26:1-3 ESV
It is amazing what God can do in our hearts when we abide in HIS city with our hearts and not this world. This is the only way we can be in the world yet not of the world.

Thanks, Susanne. I prayed and wrote what I heard. His thoughts can become our thoughts if we rest and listen as you well know. It is a blessing to rest and move in the Spirit with you. 👍🏻

You are welcome, Michael.
REST and LISTEN… that somehow started echoing in my heart and mind as I had read it first. These three words seem to sound simple, but there is very deep truth here, I believe. Only moving, if we are rested and had listened before… sooo hard for the flesh. 😉
Thank you! You are a blessing, my dear brother! 👍🏻

Rest and listen to His whisper, speak what He gives us to speak and do what He shows us to do… nothing more and nothing less. This seems to be a life-long learning process as we come into the fullness of Christ by His grace working in us. It is a blessing to be on this journey with you, Susanne.

It is a blessing for me as well, Michael. Indeed, a life-long learning process! Maybe, the learning won’t stop, even after death… But then it might be easier, I am sure, because all this suffering in our bodies will be over.
