About Susanne Schuberth (Germany)

My name is Susanne Schuberth and I live in Fürth/Bavaria. I am a 54 years old married mother who writes primarily about her deeper experiences with God and Jesus Christ. Sometimes I write poems, then articles, or alternatively, though rarely, comments on other blogs, just as the Holy Spirit leads me. “The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.” (Jn 3:8 ESV) This Scripture describes my manner of writing which I never plan beforehand. I try to do all things as God inspires me and then I forget about them until He reminds me of having written several entries. This also means that there are times of dry inspirationlessness where the deeper sources of the spirit, which are unknown to me, are explored and enlarged by God. Therefore, if you want to read my blogs more often, you can be sure that you cannot be sure that I will publish on a regular basis. 😉 Furthermore, I am an outdoorswoman who engages in all manner of sports. Mainly, I go biking, walking and swimming as often as my time and my body (and soul) allow. Whether it is physical pain that can be tormenting or personal struggles in private life, there is a time to laugh and a time to weep, a time to mourn and a time to dance as the Book of Ecclesiastes says (Eccl 3:4-5 ESV).

Life Beyond Circumstances

This world is circling around itself

Self of man is captured within

God's wisdom has been put on the shelf

That gathers dust to cover sin

Circumstances decide decisions

Disaster seems to have gained control

No knowledge of God, no real visions

No real summer before the fall

Peace that surpasses all understanding

Don’t let us be anxious

The Lord is at hand

He cares for the living

The dead and those banned

From taking a stand

Against Satan’s devices

Of tricky lie’s brand

Which, cut into slices

They could understand

And see they’re kept under

The devil’s control to fit

Into systems they should rather quit

His Secret Home

There is a place deep in our hearts
That knows no pain or fear
Troubles may come, troubles may go
This dwelling place stays clear

Of filthiness and awkward pose
Of all that is confused
Oh, and this place is secretly
Our home where we are fused

With Him who’ll meet in privacy
When time and place are right
While our longing to be one
Will be His own delight…

Eternal Life – in the Here and Now

Strength comes from knowing
Not from knowing that much
But from knowing the One
Who with Heaven’s sweet touch

Transforms life and longing
That was earthly and bound
By fears, grief, and sorrow
Which are truly profound

The King’s Palace… or The River of No Return

Salmon River aka The River of No Return – (Photo by Michael Clark)

Once upon a time there was a King who had a Son
And His beloved Son withal was His only one
They erst lived far away in a realm of only day

Where Light is, Love and everything
Of which no human could have dreamed
Delight and bliss, no dark shade there

But one day they said, “We will share
Our divine life with man on earth
Through incarnation and new birth.”

God’s Light comes in the Night

When the SON rises... (Wallpaper)

When the SON rises… (Wallpaper)

The presence of God was a big surprise
For man who was used to blood sacrifice
As God left the place where He dwelt before
And commanded that blood was put at the door

That was a new sign and a gift for us to explore
When He sacrificed His Son who was pierced to the core
To take away the sins of this fallen world
When He died and rose, His ascension unfurled

God’s fully unseen realm which has come to us
In Christ’s Spirit alone without a big fuss
Through the precious Holy Ghost on Pentecost
Who now helps us see that there’s nothing to boast

Like Little Children…

Crossing the Jordan… 😉

A child, so humble and so bold
To rise against unrighteous cold
Unkind and loveless heresy,
Is hard to find apparently

Instead you see them quarrelling
About what’s right or wrong, they cling
To doctrine, dogma ill-conceived
And leave their audience deeply grieved

There is Hope of Redemption Ahead

There is hope of deliverance ;-) (Photo by Susanne Schuberth)

There is always hope…

Like a light in the dark
That leaves merely a spark
So is hope not in vain
Although all goes insane

If God puts to the test
Those to who’ll manifest
His great love and goodwill
So you see time stands still

Where Beauty Lies…

Beautiful Lilies on the Balconies

The beauty that was never seen
Can’t be detected on a screen
Instead it’s hidden in the heart
As its most valuable part

This beauty has eternal worth
And does not wither, but gives birth
To evermore of perfect gifts
The more the veil that hid them shifts

What remains at the end of the day?

Looking for new sense of life
We see humans torn in strife
Trying to squeeze out what’s new
Hoping that they’ll score a coup

Be it fame or riches now
Climbing up the ladder – wow
From above the world looks good
Jealous is the neighborhood
